Pumps & Drum Transfer

Drum and container pumps are used to transfer liquids safely and cleanly from drums, barrels and IBCs. We offer pump sets and components for low-viscosity liquids as well as aggressive and flammable chemicals, based on a modular concept – the same drive motor can be used with different pump tubes. This keeps handling simple, reduces changeover time and makes the system easy to move from container to container.

Product Types

Drum Pumps

Drum Pumps

Drum pumps are designed to empty 200 L drums and similar containers quickly and cleanly. They are ideal for thin to medium viscosity liquids such as chemicals, solvents, cleaning agents, light oils and water-based media. The pump tube is inserted directly into the drum, and the pump is driven by a matching electric or pneumatic motor.

    Key Points :
  • For low-viscosity liquids from drums and small containers
  • Easy to carry and move between drums
  • Available in different materials for chemical resistance
Drum & Container Pumps

Drum & Container Pumps

These pumps cover a wider range – from standard 200 L drums up to IBCs and other larger containers. They are suitable where you need more flow or have many container types on site. With the right combination of tube material and motor, they can handle corrosive, flammable and hygienic products.

    Key Points :
  • For drums, barrels and IBCs
  • Versions available for chemicals, food / pharma and ATEX areas
  • Same motor can often be used with multiple pump tubes
Progressive Cavity Pumps (Drum / Barrel Type)

Progressive Cavity Pumps (Drum / Barrel Type)

Progressive cavity drum pumps are used where liquids are more viscous, shear-sensitive or contain small solids. They work as positive displacement pumps and move the product gently with low pulsation. Typical applications include oils, gels, creams, pastes and other thicker media.

    Key Points :
  • For low to very high viscosity products
  • Smooth, low-turbulence pumping
  • Suitable for shear-sensitive or filled products
  • Higher discharge pressure possible compared to standard drum pumps
Commutator Motors (Electric)

Commutator Motors (Electric)

Commutator motors are compact electric motors that offer variable speed control and are easy to handle – often with a simple on/off switch and speed knob. They are suitable for general drum and container transfer where standard electric power is available and frequent start/stop and flow adjustment is required.

    Key Points :
  • Variable speed for adjusting flow
  • Lightweight and easy to operate
  • Good choice for mobile use and normal industrial areas
Brushless Motors (Electric)

Brushless Motors (Electric)

Brushless motors run without carbon brushes, so they are largely maintenance-free and have very low wear. They are especially useful where the pump has to run continuously or at high start frequency, and where low noise is required.

    Key Points :
  • Maintenance-free, low-wear drive
  • Very low noise level
  • Ideal for continuous duty and frequent start/stop
Compressed Air Motors

Compressed Air Motors

Compressed air motors are used where pneumatic operation is preferred – for example, in hazardous areas or when transferring flammable liquids. When combined with drum and container pumps, they give a very lightweight and powerful pump set, with speed easily controlled by the air supply.

    Key Points :
  • Suitable for hazardous / ATEX zones (with correct pump tube)
  • Good for flammable and solvent media
  • Simple speed control via air pressure and flow

Selection & Support

We help you choose the right combination of:

  • Pump type (standard drum vs progressive cavity)

  • Tube material (for chemical compatibility)

  • Motor type (commutator, brushless, compressed air)

based on your fluid, viscosity, temperature, container and area classification (normal or ATEX).
